Making Gridded Multi-ROIs

In some cases, you may want to make a gridded multi-ROI from a region of interest or another object. For example, to analyze a subsection of a large region of interest.

As shown below, two options are available for making gridded multi-ROIs — As a Gridded Multi-ROI Intersection or As a Gridded Multi-ROI of Same Shape. In either case, the selected grid size will be generated starting at the selected object's position in space.

Original ROI (top), gridded multi-ROI of intersecting voxels (middle), gridded multi-ROI of same shape (bottom)

Gridded multi-ROIs

Gridded multi-ROIs can be created from image data, regions of interest, and multi-ROIs. Select the required option, as described below, in the pop-up menu to open the Choose a Grid Cell Size dialog. You can then select the required sampling size for the generated grid.

Make as a Gridded Multi-ROI Intersection… Creates a gridded multi-ROI that includes only voxels that intersect with the selected region of interest. This option is not available for image data or multi-ROIs.

Make as a Gridded Multi-ROI of Same Shape… Creates a gridded multi-ROI in the same shape as the selected image data, region of interest, or multi-ROI.
